Bing VS Google : Head-to-Head

Hats off to SEO specialist Paul Savage who has made this very basic web service, which lists all the results for your search queries on Google and Bing side by side, so you can compare which one produces the better results for the keywords you enter, on a single page. I played around with it , and this is what I felt:
The comparison:
Main Page Size: Both have almost equal page size, 14KB with 4 http request and 15KB with 1 http request for Google and Bing respectively. Page loading times are almost equal for both the search engines.
UI: I liked the concept of the front cover photo changing every day. When you float over it, you find the hidden "Easter eggs" that lead you on some interesting and unexpected links. So, full marks to Microsoft's Bing.
Web Search Results:
Web search results are almost the same for a simple search query. When I searched "geekonnet" the initial results on both search engines are almost the same.

Well, Bing reached at 2nd place in the search engine war, after google, ahead of yahoo search and ask.com. I predict that the market share of google will remain unchanged but bing will take away yahoo's and ask's market share. I am definitely not shifting to bing, from google; what about you? Here is a poll on the right side of this post. So, "Are you moving to BING?" "Yes","No" or " I don't care".

I've been hearing about Bing.com for a while now but I haven't tried it. Maybe I should to see if it's any different.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Google will survive this one as well. Mainly because people are lazy to change their habit or to go out of their comfort zone when they utilize the Net (to use Google that is).
Having owned by such major industry, Bing is unlikely suffer painful death in terms of financial support, so they may succeed in the long run in the next few years, provided that Microsoft doesn't get bored by it (something of which become Microsoft's habit lately).
One more reason why Google will survive: I don't see the word "Binging" is quite interesting compare to "Googling." Microsoft's team is really in serious lack of creating an inviting, brandable name. Thx for this post, and thx for visiting me earlier. :)
I am done with google, the sense of relief is almost numbing just to see than everything is this world can be and will be improved!! all hail BING!! gotta love MS....first IBM, then Mac and now google!!
Google Seems Too Big To Fail...Where Have We Heard That Before??????????
What I’m missing in this article is the pretty obvious explanation: due to layout with the left-hand navigation of Bing, the natural results are more towards the centre of the screen than on Google. So the distance between the natural results and the ads is less. So it’s pretty obvious more people will notice the ads.
Don’t need eyetracking to know that, although eyetracking confirms what every usability expert would have ‘guessed’
Thanks
